Hooked reels in big boppas

A beautiful GT caught by Bush.

Hooked Fishing Charters have been back in the deep blue for just shy of a month now but already they’ve been seeing some huge fish reeled in.

Client Bush spent Tuesday with GT popping, and hauled in some nice sized fish.

And Bruce and Graham last week caught some nice King Thread Fin Salmon and even another Jewfish.

Thanks to Hooked Fishing for sending in the great photos from their week of action.

A courteous reminded to be careful when stepping into our local systems with Shannon Reid hooking a monster stonefish this week.

The Stonefish is the most venomous fish in the ocean and many people have died after getting stung by one.

The biggest danger is accidentally stepping on one since they are almost invisible at low tide.

Needle-sharp spines can inject a toxic venom that can cause excruciating pain and potentially even death.

Be careful out there and keep on fishing!
