Sell-out Sydney Dance Company performance Impermanence will come to Gladstone in one of only three performances in the state.

Vivacious dancers will take to the Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre stage on June 22, in a visceral and thrilling exploration of the juxtaposition of beauty and devastation.

Returning to the stage for a national Australia tour after a sell-out Sydney world premiere, Impermanence is set to feature a new score full of emotional power from Grammy Award-winning composer Bryce Dessner.

Best known for his film scores for The Revenant and The Two Popes, Dessner was initially inspired by the tragedy of the Australian bushfires and the Notre-Dame fire in Paris.

His score is complemented by the choreography of Rafael Bonachela, who has previously worked with Dessner and the likes of Kylie Minogue and Tina Turner.
